Øhavsmuseet chooses KINN Studio

On 19 December 2025 KINN Studio won the tender for the complete exhibition design of the new Øhavsmuseet in Faaborg. The museum, Denmark's museum for inner and outer landscapes, is expanding on Faaborg harbour with a new building by Transform and Pax Architects, with Vega Landskab on the landscape and Viggo Madsen on the engineering.

The new museum joins the red roofs of the old market town with the architecture of the harbour, and adds an observation deck looking out over Svanninge Bakker, the town and the South Funen Archipelago. Inside, closed exhibition rooms meet large open glass sections, with more exhibition space than today, a teaching room and an outdoor area tied to the landscape around it.
