The Skagen painters drew all their lives: childhood scribbles, studies for the famous paintings, caricatures at the dinner table, model drawings in the studio. The museum holds close to 4,000 of them. Tegn Amok put 144 on the walls, from 22 artists, and invited everyone to draw along. The galleries were painted in warm reds and pinks, and a single yellow line ran through every room at eye height, the line the drawings hang from and the line you follow. In the middle of the hall, a drawing workshop with paper, pencils and chalk, where children and grown-ups sat on the floor and drew, and where their drawings went up on the wall beside Krøyer's and Ancher's. It was meant to close in March. It ran until the end of September.

One line through every room. The drawings hang from it, big and small, in warm reds and pinks, with the visitors' own drawings on the last wall.

We were supposed to close it. But our drawing exhibition has filled Skagens Museum with so much life and so many engaged visitors that we couldn't help extending it.
